To foster a strong local economy and vibrant community by promoting a favorable business environment to attract private capital investment and employment opportunities.

In fulfilling this mission, the EDD will work with new businesses to provide assistance for location or expansion within Columbia County. The EDD also works with existing businesses to develop additional employment opportunities for the residents of Columbia County.
